This section describes the role and scope of Process Mentor. It describes the components of the product, the coverage of the process and the relationship of the process to the Capability Maturity Model (CMM), the Unified Modelling Language (UML) and other standards e.g ISO 9000
This section describes how the core processes are defined, and discusses the scope of each process. This section provides a “breadth” rather than “depth” view of each area of expertise covered by Process Mentor.
This section describes how the lifecycle of a project is defined using project roadmaps. It examines a typical project roadmap showing how the core processes are tied together during a project. This section provides the “big picture” view of how a project is run.
This section examines how Process Mentor provides a reusable framework for developing processes that can be tailored to the specific needs of a project.It shows how Process Mentor can be expanded and integrated with other methodologies.
This section examines a range of other issues related to the deployment of the process. This section covers topics such as: - Online Web version - the integration with Case Tools such as Rational Rose - the integration of Process Mentor with other development processes - skills development and project deployment.
Participants should have practical experience in software development in a commercial environment. No prior exposure to object-oriented design or programming is necessary.
