With over 25 years in the information technology sector, Paul has a wide breadth of experience gained in senior positions both in academia and commercial organisations. He is a seasoned consultant and excellent communicator drawing from his many years as a university lecturer and trainer.
Possessing a wide body of technical expertise, Paul has a deep knowledge of Object Oriented Analysis and Design. He is an expert in the use of the Unified Modelling Language (UML) as a specification method and in using various UML-based tools including Sparx Systems’ Enterprise Architect, Techno Solution’s Visual Use Case, TopTeam Analyst, No Magic’s Magic Draw UML, IBM’s RequisitePro and DOORS for requirements gathering and documentation.
Using his technical expertise, Paul reviews all courses developed by others, renovates existing course material, and writes new ones. He is frequently sought after as a trainer and expert practitioner in Process Modelling using BPMN (Business Process Modelling Notation).
Peter Wong’s experience in the IT industry expands over 30 years in a number of roles including programmer, systems analyst, software architect, technical consultant and project manager. Peter has worked in both business applications and technical software development on a wide variety of platforms.
Peter spent three years in academia (CIT/Monash University) while he completed his graduate studies in computing, and, during this time, he developed and taught courses in natural language processing, operating systems, compiler theory, networking, and TP systems.
On returning to the industry sector, he maintained his association with the university by developing and conducting industry training courses for Monash Professional, formerly known as the Pearcey Centre for Computing. These courses include C Programming, C++ Programming, Object-Oriented Design, and Agile Software Development.
Peter currently works for Object Training, conducting and developing courses in JavaEE, UML, and XP/Scrum.
Les Parcell brings to his role of lead trainer at Object, a solid background in academia. He taught for a number of years in the Department of Computing at Macquarie University at all levels from first year through to Honours and Masters degrees. Since 2000, Les has worked for Object Training teaching, writing and updating courses in Java, C++ and UML. Prior to Object Consulting, Les held a similar role writing, developing and teaching Java and UML courses for Sun Microsystems.
Anthony Miller is a principal trainer at Object Training.
