Course Outline
As a .NET Windows developer, you need to know more than just how to add a control to a window. You must be able to create an entire user interface framework that is scalable, flexible, and reusable.
A Windows application generally consists of one or more Windows forms and is an an area on the screen (usually rectangular) over which you design the user interface of a Windows application.
This course provides an insightful view into the design of Windows Forms and the integration of new 2.0 features. Developers new to Winforms programming will appreciate the coverage of the fundamentals all Winforms developers need to know. The course outlines Windows Forms 2.0 fundamentals including forms, dialogues, data validation, controls, components, and rendering.
Outcomes
This course contains detailed discussions about user interface elements that you'll use on a regular basis. You will learn to confidently develop windows-based applications using the C# and/or VB.NET development environment using the latest features delivered in .NET Framework 2.0. Students will utilise their understanding of object oriented design concepts and within a project.
At the end of this course you will be able to:
- Build, execute and debug Windows-based applications written in C# and/or VB.NET
- Programmatically modify the windows controls
- Create an SDI applications
- Create an MDI applications
