Course Outline

The course provides a detailed look at modelling the functional and non-functional requirements of a system. The course uses the Object Management Group's standard modelling language UML (Unified Modelling Language), which incorporates Use-Cases for defining and documenting the functional requirements and class diagrams for defining the business objects of the system.

This 3 day course is for business analysts who wish to learn how to elicit and document business processes and software requirements, as well as manage and track a requirements modelling effort.

Outcomes

At the end of this course you will be able to:

  • Capture functional requirements using Use Cases
  • Capture non-functional requirements
  • Capture service level requirements for a solution
  • Capture the business objects of a solution
  • Run requirements modelling workshops with business users
